Buffalo Ridge Community - Book 1

Elsie Beaumont's father is away on a business trip, when a group of men show up at their Philadelphia home one night with fire torches, yelling that he needs to pay for what he did. Elsie escapes out her bedroom window and runs into the nearby woods as they set their barn on fire. She watches as they torch the house, as well, and it and everything she owns burns to the ground. When her father never returns, she fears the worst.

With nowhere to live and no family left, she takes the little money she has and gets as far from Philadelphia as she can. Her money runs out at the small town of Buffalo Ridge, Wyoming. Now, all she has to do was find a place to live, someone willing to employ a single lady from back east, and figure out how to get over the void of her father being gone, without knowing what happened to him. Then she'll be ready to start her new life.

Local rancher, Wyatt Bellingham, would like to help her with all of those things if he can just convince her to let him.
