Molly Randolph is worried sick. She’s put a lot of money into getting her new business ready and set to go. Her only hope to salvage her first murder mystery weekend is to ask her older brother, David, a famous mystery writer, to come and help her.

David is shocked when he goes to Molly’s new address and sees a huge Victorian mansion at the end of a long driveway. Where did she get the money for this, he asks himself.

To David’s surprise, the money to purchase and fix up the mansion was obtained legally. The house is beautiful, and even the mystery, written by his sister, is pretty good. He was sure she’d asked him there to tweak the mystery, but when her eyes fills with tears, he knows there’s more. Molly confesses that he is there because his ex-fiancée, Brianna King, registered online to be a guest. Molly knows Brianna hates her, and fears she is coming to ruin the weekend.

David promises Molly he will handle Brianna if she comes to make trouble. His way to handle Brianna’s kind of trouble is to apply the flat of his hand where it will do the most good…
